Mr. Casey Carpenter has been hired to be the next principal of Reeds Spring Middle School. Carpenter is currently the assistant principal of Ozark High School.
“Mr. Carpenter is a man of integrity who is driven by his passion and mindset of doing what is best for kids,” said incoming superintendent Dr. Cody Hirschi. “His genuine and warm personality will be a blessing to the students, parents, and staff that he will serve.”
Carpenter will succeed Dr. Travis Kite, who has been promoted to assistant superintendent. Mr. Carpenter spent 13 years as a teacher, coach, and junior high activities director for Branson Schools, before moving to Ozark for the past two years. He has a secondary education degree in Unified Science from Southwest Missouri State (MSU). He also holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration from William Woods University and a specialist degree in Educational Administration from Missouri State University.
“I am excited to be a part of the Reeds Spring Middle School family,” Carpenter said. “I enjoy seeing student success in the classroom and beyond. I am a strong advocate for extracurricular activities and hope to see all students plugged in somewhere beyond the traditional school day. The staff and I will work hard to help each student to experience success both inside and outside the classroom. We will also work to help each student experience being a part of something bigger than themselves.”
Carpenter will begin his duties July 1.
